CONDITIONS OF ENTRY- 2023
THE SCHOLARSHIP:
All information regarding the Scholarship form part of these conditions of entry.
The Kieran Brown Memorial Flying Scholarship was formed by Kieran’s Mum, Beverley Jeffery in conjunction with Flightscope Aviation’s Director, Rodney Flockhart for the purpose of flight training.
The value of the Scholarship for the year 2023 is $7,500.00.
Applications for 2023 will open on 01 October 2022 and will close on 20 January 2023.
All entrants will be assessed on their suitability for formal flying training with the winner of the Scholarship being notified in writing no later than 20 February 2023.
The Scholarship is not transferable and must be expended by 20 March 2024.
All flight training must be taken with Flightscope Aviation at Archerfield Airport, QLD, Australia.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To qualify for the Scholarship entrants must:
(i) Be an Australian Citizen,
(ii) be at least 15 years of age on 20 January 2023,
(iii) be able to meet Recreational or Private Pilot Licence Medical Standards,
Immediate family members of Kieran Leslie Brown, Flightscope Aviation and employees and are not eligible for the Scholarship.
HOW TO ENTER:
All entrants must submit a short video clip depicting who they are and why they're applying for the Scholarship.
TERMINATION OF SCHOLARSHIP:
The Scholarship will be terminated where:
(I) The maximum duration of the Scholarship has been reached
(ii) the candidate has committed serious misconduct, including the provision of false or misleading information
(iii) a failure to comply with safety standards as set down by Flightscope Aviation.
Beverley Jeffery, Rodney Flockhart and Flightscope Aviation and its employees accept no responsibility or liability for any act or incident that occurs in connection with this scholarship which results from or is caused by any act or omission of the organisers or any other person.
